About
Since 2007 DanceAbroad has offered an intensive dance program held in the city of Buenos Aires, Argentina. We were the first study abroad program in Buenos Aires that was designed specifically for dancers. Today we offer excellent dance programs to provide dancers with the opportunity to study dance, learn Spanish, and to explore the rich and exciting culture of Argentina.
Through class experience, instructor collaboration, cultural exchange, and guided excursions, we strive to instill a deep understanding of dance, culture, art, and the ways they intersect. Ultimately, our students learn to make connections between lived experience and dance technique, as well as between their own cultural knowledge and the changing world around them.
Expert Dance Training
Train with highly skilled instructors in a wide range of styles including tango, folklore, contemporary, ballet, and jazz. Classes are designed to challenge and inspire you, giving you the opportunity to refine your technique, expand your artistry, and experience the rich dance traditions of Argentina firsthand.
Cultural Immersion
Your experience goes far beyond the studio. You’ll explore vibrant neighborhoods, visit museums, and engage with local traditions that bring the Argentinian culture to life. From the rhythm of tango in the streets, to the history woven into every corner of Buenos Aires, each excursion deepens your understanding of the culture.

At DanceAbroad, we believe that training the complete dancer extends well beyond technique classes. Each element of the curriculum is designed to complement the others, creating a unified experience. Students dance tango in the classroom, visit the historic neighborhoods where it was born, and experience it firsthand at local milongas. This integration of learning cultivates deeper understanding and allows dancers to grow artistically and personally, expanding their horizons in ways that last a lifetime.
